Larry Reynolds, President
Larry Reynolds is the Founder and President of Reynolds Sports Management. With over 20 years of experience and an impeccable reputation, he is regarded as one of the top baseball agents in the country. Larry is certified with the Major League Baseball Players’ Association and has advised or represented numerous Major League players and draft picks including
8 first round and 7 compensation and second round selections since 2000 (12 first round picks overall). He has negotiated several lucrative
and record breaking multi-year contracts and prepared and presented numerous arbitration cases.
His winning percentage for arbitration cases is
well above the industry standard.
A graduate from Corvallis High School in Oregon, Larry was a three-sport star in football, baseball, and basketball. He was named First Team All-State in baseball and received All-State honors in football. He went on to receive a two-sport scholarship from Stanford University where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology.
While at Stanford, Larry was named Pac-10 Conference MVP in 1977. He was a two-time college bowl participant while playing under legendary coach, Bill Walsh. He turned down a free agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys and was drafted three times by the Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres and the Texas Rangers before eventually signing with the Rangers. Larry played five years of professional baseball before suffering a career ending injury. He went on to coach one year in the St. Louis Cardinals organization before becoming a player agent. In 2003, Larry was inducted into the Stanford Athletic Hall Of Fame.
Patrick Murphy, Chief Operating Officer
Patrick Murphy has been working with Larry Reynolds in the athlete representation business since 1993. He is a 1993 graduate of the University of California, Riverside where he received his B.A. in Business/Economics. He then graduated from the University of San Diego with his Juris Doctorate degree in 1996. While attending the University of San Diego, he focused on labor issues as his studies included Contracts, Contract Negotiations, Arbitration, Sports Law, Labor Law, and Sexual Discrimination.
Patrick is involved in preparing and presenting
all arbitration cases for RSM. He negotiates
player contracts, equipment contracts and
trading card contracts. His years of experience
have made him extremely important to the success
of RSM.
Matt
Kinzer, Director of Player Personnel
Matt joined the Reynolds Sports Management team in 2000. His unique experience and knowledge of baseball is a great asset to RSM clients. Matt is a former second-round draft pick of the St. Louis Cardinals and pitched in the Major Leagues for the Cardinals and Detroit Tigers. Prior to joining the RSM team, Matt served as a scout for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Matt
is responsible for finding and evaluating talent
for potential RSM clients. He also works closely
with RSM pitchers and other players throughout
the season.
Jennifer
Marisnick, Senior Director of Marketing
The marketing department is coordinated and directed by Jennifer Marisnick.
Jennifer began working for Reynolds Sports
Management in 2000. She handles the
marketing for all of our Major and
Minor-league players including 7-time Gold
Glove winner and 2-time All-Star Torii
Hunter,
All-Star Chad Cordero, MLB.com host Harold
Reynolds and the highest drafted brothers in
MLB history, B.J. and Justin Upton. She
oversees all areas of RSM's marketing
department, negotiates all endorsement and
memorabilia contracts, supervises public and
private autograph signings as well as runs
special charitable events for our clients
including golf tournaments, baseball
clinics, and charity auctions.
Mike Dillon, Director of P.R. and Marketing
Mike joined
RSM in November of 2007 after 8 years at MLB.com
where he worked with such talent as Harold
Reynolds, Brian McRae, Jim Leyritz, Fred Claire,
Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, Hip Hop Artist
Phife Dog and many others while producing video
content for Major League Baseball's Official
Website. As Director of PR and Marketing Mike
handles RSM's relationship with the media and
builds and cultivates marketing relationships
for all of RSM's clients. Mike's strong contacts
with the media have allowed RSM clients to be
featured prominently on television, radio, and a
variety of national print publications including
featured cover stories.
Terry Jones, Director of Player Relations
Terry, a former client of Reynolds Sports
Management, began working for us in 2007 after
his retirement from professional baseball. In
high school
Terry was a 2 time All American and a
3 year all state selection. He was also
state player of year for his sophomore and
junior years respectively. Terry was drafted in
2001 and
played in the Philadelphia Phillies organization
for 6 seasons. He was the Phillies second
selection in the 2001 draft, but his career was
cut short by injuries. Being a former client
himself, Terry offers valuable insight to both
clients and RSM employees.
Terry has several roles at RSM, working in
client maintenance, marketing/P.R., and contract
research.
Doreen Hurtado, Client Services Manager
Reynolds Sports Management clients day to day
needs are handled by Doreen Hurtado. She orders
equipment, assists with travel plans, car
transportation, living arrangements and helps
clients with various other day to day tasks. She
handles travel for all RSM staff and manages
RSM's main office in Riverside, California. She
began working for RSM in January of 2002. Her
excellent work ethic and strong relationships
with our clients and their families has made her
a valuable asset to RSM.
